Greek holidays might now include another stop-off with new flights heading to the island of Kos from Manchester.
Jet2 has announced that its 2010 routes will include Kos and that these will be the first scheduled services to go from Manchester to this destination. The airline already flies to Crete.
The trip will be available from May 26th 2010 and a single ticket is priced at £69.99 including taxes.
Known for being lush and green and for its thriving nightlife, the birthplace of Hippocrates is also said to boast quiet villages and tranquil beaches.
The island is also the gateway to the beautiful island of Symi and is the starting point for Kos to Santorini sailing trips. Usually lasting around eight to ten days, these yacht cruises stop throughout the Cycladic islands before ending up in this famous island overlooking a volcano in the southernmost part of the Cyclades.
Holidaymakers can already get flights to such destinations as Crete, Lefkas, Santorini, Paxos and Corfu from Manchester Airport.
