People considering renting a villa in Greece may wish to holiday in the country during the month of September, after one journalist has suggested it could be cheap (or cheaper).
Writing for the Sun-Herald, Michael Gebicki advised travellers that the end of summer could be a good time to bag a bargain on the Greek islands.
He explained that from September onwards the holiday season is coming to an end and fewer tourists visit the region, therefore individuals could find excellent deals.
Villa owners may wish to rent out their properties for cheaper rates instead of having no one staying in the holiday home, Mr Gebicki recommended.
The travel commentator described the "delights of island living" and advised people the larger isles have greater access to shops and services, should they wish to do more than just relax by the pool.
Darren Noel, commercial director at hitched.co.uk, recently highlighted luxury beach holidays combined with a few days in the city as a popular honeymoon choice among newlyweds.
