Greece 'is a wonderful place to visit'

Holidays in Greece offer a wonderful melting-pot of culture, history and fabulous cuisine.
This is the opinion of Timothy O'Neil Dunne, who described his trip to the region's islands in an article for the Transit Cafe.
The writer explained how his love affair with the country began when he was first taken to Corfu as a child and consequently was inspired by the history and culture to study the classics.
He remarked: "The beauty of Greece is that it is one of the truly wonderful places to visit. It has something for everyone."
Mr Dunne stated that the fantastic weather, historical relics and delicious food make exploring the islands an enjoyable pastime.
Memories of vacations spent cruising round the isles on a sailboat mean the destination will "always be special", he added.
Similar sentiments were recently expressed by Steve MacNaull, writing for the Canadian Press, who claimed some of Greece's biggest attractions are the beautiful scenery and ancient relics that tourists can explore.
