Two Greek beaches make Guardian's top ten

Two Greek holiday destinations figure on the Guardian's recent top ten unspoiled European beaches list.
Author Isabel Choat said that the "translucent turquoise waters" of the paired islets Ano and Kato Koufonissi along with their "stunning beaches" made the islands a shoe-in for the list.
She wrote that while Ano had fish tavernas and guest houses, Kato was a good choice for travelers seeking a more isolated and authentic beach paradise experience.
The islands are accessible by ferry from Mykonos, Paros and Santorini among other Cyclades.
For those visitors who like to earn their holidays, the other on the list was Fakistra on the peninsula of mainland Pelion. To get to this beach, she says, it is a 90-minute trek from Damouhari.
Movie lovers may recognise as one of the seaside villages featured in Mamma Mia!.
The Sporades islands of Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros - also of Mamma Mia! fame - are visible from this beach.
