Athens an 'amazing holiday destination'

Athens is a beautiful city full of stories, an Indian celebrity has said.
Model and actress Dipannita Sharma said her choice of location for the first trip away with her new husband was the Greek islands and capital because they both loved beaches and history.
For this reason, she commented the Athens' leg of her tour "was a real treat".
In addition to the "lovely buildings" and market area, the archaeological ruins that dot the city made for a fascinating backdrop to her sunny sojourn.
"I love ruins, reminds you of what could have been. Plus, there are so many stories related to the dilapidated structures," Sharma added.
Among the highlights was the drive to Delphi, the Temple of Apollo, the Acropolis and the first Olympic Stadium.
The celebrity revealed she and her husband got up very early in the morning to take it all in.
DeTraci Regula recently wrote on her Greece Travel Blog that the capital would make a great holiday destination during Valentine's Day because it is very romantic.
