Tourists heading on a Greek island holiday may be pleased to hear that a survey has found the cost of eating out in the country has markedly decreased.
The Post Office Travel Money's new Family Holiday Report revealed that the price of meals in Greece has declined by 17 per cent since last July.
Following the study, people travelling abroad this summer were given tips by the organisation on how to avoid forking out large sums of money while on vacation.
Sarah Munro, Post Office head of travel money, said: "There is plenty families can do to avoid getting stung on holiday."
She recommended holidaymakers pack children's beach toys as they could cost more if purchased while away and going online before the trip to compare excursion prices.
The Daily Telegraph recently described how there are plenty of activities such as water sports and boating trips to keep visitors to Corfu entertained while on vacation.
