Greek Islands could see increase in travellers

More Brits could be choosing to pack up and embark on a Greek Island holiday this summer, as new research reveals more people are ditching the 'staycation' and looking abroad.
A new survey by Lloyds TSB found that 60 per cent of Britons plan to head overseas for their main holiday this year, with more than 60 per cent choosing to holiday in European destinations such as Greece.
Some 45 per cent were planning to embark on a sun and beach holiday break, and a third of the 2,000 respondents said their holiday was already booked.
Meanwhile, travel expert Jasmine Harman has told breakingtravelnews.com her top packing tips when planning a summer holiday in the Greek islands.
The most important thing to remember was not to over pack.
"I once travelled to Thailand for three weeks with only hand luggage. I filled it with bikinis, sarongs, sun-dresses and a pair of high-heeled Red or Dead flip-flops," she told the news provider.
"A pretty summer frock can be dressed down with flip-flops and a bandana, or dressed up with big jewellery and heels."
