A new martini bar and cigar lounge is set to open in Athens later this month, amid claims that it will offer "the most stylish cocktails" in the city.

The establishment will be run under the supervision of celebrity "mixologist" Dale DeGroff, former head of beverages at the Rainbow Room in New York, the Star reports.

"With drinks chilled in liquid nitrogen … models doing the stirring and white-gloved bartenders in suits doing the serving, the lounge promises to deliver," the news provider reports.

It will add to the many bars and restaurants throughout the ancient city, allowing people to take in Athens' "bustling, energetic social scene", the Star states.

The Gazi district in Athens is also worth a visit, boasting a plethora of unique bars and restaurants after following a revitalisation of the area.

People can spend the evening enjoying a drink at one of the establishments while listening to an outdoor concert or marvelling at the talent of the local buskers.
