Santorini 'ultimate engagement destination'

The Greek island of Santorini seems to have a reputation as being the ideal holiday destination for couples celebrating an engagement.
Based on the prize for the Best Engagement Proposal Story in a competition launched by the Jewellery Information Center, this could be said to be the case as the location has been selected as the reward for the couple with the best tale to tell.
Diamond ring retailers will be referring their customers to the organisation's website where they can submit their romantic history.
A panel will select the best and most romantic before the end of April 30th, 2010 and the winners will win platinum jewellery and a trip for two to Santorini, Greece.
It has also been suggested by a fair number of wedding specialists and bloggers that the island could be an idyllic place to celebrate a honeymoon as well, thanks to the stunning decor and laid-back atmosphere.
