Wine lovers 'must go to Greek islands'

The wines of the Greek islands are a must for those visiting this Greek island holiday destination, one writer has suggested.
Financial Times writer Feargus O'Sullivan said certain wineries did not supply to Britain but were excellent enough to warrant a trip.
One such product was Gerovassiliou, which the journalist called "groundbreaking".
Cultivated in the high vineyards of the Nemea region of the Peleponnese islands, this drink boasts "spicy plum notes mellowed and complicated by a dose of oak ageing".
A "good balance of fruit and tannin" also makes this wine a winner whether consumed right away or kept in the cellar for a year.
Neotefktos is another Greek red that has been recommended - and those visiting the Zante could buy a bottle on site after during the Oenolpi vineyard near Artemison.
Mr O'Sullivan reminded readers that back before the wines of France seduced Europe, the Greek product was considered "the real thing".
Today, they are making a name for themselves by combining experimentation with noble grape varieties such as Syrah.
