Jet-setters contemplating their 2010 holidays might like to consider going on a Greek summer holiday, as one publication has said the country boasts "300 days of guaranteed sunshine a year".
TNT Magazine recommended travellers book flights to Kefalonia and check out the Melissani Cave, which is 30,000 years old and has an underground lake that "turns a brilliant turquoise when the sun pierces through an opening in the roof".
A trip to Corfu was also proposed, with Corfu Town being described as a "beautiful city" that offers travellers boulevards, arcades, squares and two fortifications, such as the Paleo Frourio.
What's more, vacationers will also find some of the best beaches the world over, such as Kathisma on Lefkada (Lefkas) and Egremni, while Vassiliki is excellent fare for windsurfers.
Meanwhile, a study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology recently suggested that going on holiday can increase happiness more than the purchasing of material goods - so staying in Kefalonia villa s could prove to be a good idea.
