'Enjoy the International Aegean Sailing Rally' on holiday in Greece

Whether a spectator or a participant, including the International Aegean Sailing Rally in an itinerary of things to do in Greece while on Greek island summer holidays could be a good idea.
It has been running since 1964 and features both native sailors and those from all around the world, with some of the finest boats taking centre stage for the race around the Mediterranean.
Organised by the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club, the regatta consists of between three and four individual races, with an overall distance of up to 400 nautical miles.
It usually begins at the bow of the Averof battleship in Paleo Faliro which, incidentally, has been converted into a naval museum - another attraction that could entertain those on Greek holidays .
Last year's event went from Faleron, through Syros, Leros and Samos before concluding at Sounio, but 2010's affair will instead take in Faleron, Paros, Nisiros, Koufonisi and Sounio.
