People seeking seclusion during holidays in Milos should head to Tsigrado Beach on the south coast of the island.
Writing for the Guardian, Athens resident Katerina Panayotopoulu states that it is "safely off the tourist trail", due to it only being accessible by climbing down a cliff wall hanging onto ropes attached to the rock.
Having reached the beach, however, most people do not want to leave, said Ms Panayotopoulu.
"When you reach the sea, however, it's worth it - nothing but turquoise water and crystalline sands," she writes.
"Most people swim, sunbathe for half an hour, then leave, but if you're organised enough to bring an umbrella, water and something to eat, you can laze the day away to your heart's content."
Tsigrado Beach is located around 12km from the main port of Adamas.
Beach-goers are spoilt for choice in Milos, with the Times rating Papafrangas Cove as one of the top 20 beaches worth visiting this year.
The news provider praises the narrow strip of land that leads down to "an aquatic chasm beneath high white cliffs".
