Those looking for things to do in Skiathos while on holiday might enjoy spending time on Koukounaries Beach, which has been described as one of the best the island has to offer.
Meaning pine cones, this one mile-long stretch of sand is family oriented and offers a plethora of activities for the adventurous traveller, the Daily Telegraph reports.
These range from peddle boats and water skiing to rides on banana boats and sailing, while the Skiathos Riding Centre provides treks across mountain trails.
"Deep blue crystal clear water, pine-scented air and stunning sunsets complete the picture," the news source observed.
And hungry jet-setters will be able to take advantage of several "informal tavernas" serving up kalamari, moussaka and horiatiki, or Greek salad, although there are also options available for "gourmet dining".
Meanwhile, the Irish Times recently noted that Mamma Mia! fans could enjoy trips to Skiathos and Skopelos as walking tours of these two isles are a good way of checking out the movie's locations.
