A trip to the village of Paleokastritsa could be de rigueur for those planning on going to Corfu for their next Greek island holiday .
With landscapes and scenery that have been called "amazing" by public reviewers on travel advice sites, this town could be a must-see.
Among its charms are sand and fine pebble-beaches bordered by cliffs or olive, lemon and cypress groves.
This coastal village is 16 miles north-west of the capital of Corfu Town and also offers opportunity for some sea exploration.
Renting a boat could be a good way to investigate the sea caves near the shore or simply venture out into the famously clear waters.
One travel reviewer writing for Greek Landscapes mentioned the destination when recalling a memorable family holiday - and said they felt sure it had not changed.
"The landscape around Paleokastritsa is still as beautiful as you will find in all of Greece," she said, adding that the lush green vegetation was the cherry on top of what was already stunning scenery.
