Greek islands 'are the perfect family destination'

The islands of Greece offer a host of entertainment for all the family to enjoy, according to one newspaper.
Culture and natural beauty are combined on the Aegean islands, which provide beautiful beaches and archaeological ruins dating back centuries, the Daily Mirror reports.
Crete and Corfu were recommended as ideal family holiday destinations thanks to their warm climates and the activities available.
The publication said: "For a holiday that revolves around the beach, be it sun-kissed days or exciting ocean adventure, Corfu caters perfectly."
Water sports, mountainous views and Minoan history are some of the features it described, which some holidaymakers may wish to sample during their stay.
The paper noted Crete is a picturesque isle with a mix of both modern and traditional customs that are suitable for all ages.
Nick Trend of Simonseeks.com recently advised travellers to leave booking a holiday until the last minute in order to get the best deals available.
