Now is the ideal time for people to go on a Greek island holiday , according to one expert.
A spokesperson for the Greek National Tourist Office explained the region is particularly accessible from April until the end of October due to good flight connections.
People are unlikely to be short of activities if they decide to go on a holiday in Greece, as there are more than 3,000 islands and islets for them to explore, he continued.
The representative said they offer "sunshine, mild climate, breathtaking sceneries, a variety of unique experiences and delicious food".
He also urged visitors to take advantage of the many beaches on offer, as well as visiting the historical sites boasted by the area.
The expert added more is being done to try and extend the holiday season to make the Greek islands accessible to tourists throughout the year.
Earlier this month, Skyscanner's Flight Travel Trends August 2010 report revealed Zante was number 94 in the top 100 most searched-for flight destinations by UK travellers.
