Spending money to go further during holidays in Greece

People planning a holiday in Greece this summer may be pleasantly surprised to find that they get more for their money, a travel industry expert has claimed.
The Post Office's annual Holiday Costs Barometer reports that prices are down in all seven eurozone countries.
Head of travel services Sarah Munro told the Scotsman that while the eurozone "has taken a bashing", the survey suggests that tourist outlets in many resorts are taking "dramatic" steps to encourage visitors.
"UK tourists who shop carefully could find that they get more than expected for their money," she said.
"Last year proved that consumers were increasingly canny in their choices, watching market movements, checking exchange rates and playing a waiting game for bargains … we expect social networking to play a more pivotal role in holiday choice."
People should also bear in mind that they need to take enough currency, as the cost of changing money or using credit cards abroad could make for a nasty surprise when they return, said Ms Munro.
