Visit Greece 'for idyllic picturesque beaches'

People holidaying in Greece this summer may want to sample the country's numerous coastal fronts after one travel commentator described their beauty.
Writing for the Irish Times, Gretchen Friemann explained how she and her husband hired a car in order to see more of the country's islands and endeavour off the beaten path.
The journalist recounted sitting on one of the many "idyllic" stretches of sand and looking out on the calm turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea.
Cloudless skies and fantastic weather were also a highlight of the trip, as she and her family ventured to numerous "picturesque" beaches where they paddled in the warm waters.
Ms Friemann also described exploring the labyrinth streets of local villages and the wealth of tavernas and cafes where vacationers can sample the local food.
From September 1st, smoking will be banned inside all public places under new legislation recently announced by the country's health minister Marilisa Xenogiannakopoulou.
