Property details

Superb quality, a fantastic location and beautiful surroundings - we encourage you to book early with the popular House Louisa.

Imagine opening the gate at the bottom of House Luisa's lawned front garden and walking straight onto the soft, sandy beach of Agios Gordis. Keep walking for a couple of minutes and you'll come to the tavernas, restaurants, shops and two swimming pools in Agios Gordis. As well as these advantages, there are no through-roads in the resort. Subsequently, traffic is kept to a minimum so you can relax in peace.

House Luisa is air-conditioned throughout but you'll benefit from sea breezes too. The house is marble-floored and has a large, comfortable living room with two day beds/sofas, plus a separate well-furnished dining area. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, electric oven, hob and an ample selection of crockery, cutlery and utensils.

You'll find one double bedroom and one twin bedroom as well, with built-in wardrobes, dressing tables and chairs which convert into single beds. The spacious, fully-tiled bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, WC and basin.

The house is surrounded on all sides by mature gardens, ideal for children to play in, and French doors lead out from the living room onto a shaded terrace: this overlooks the lawns that lead down to the beach. Once you stay at House Louisa, you'll probably never want to leave.

Location

Agios Gordis, Corfu

The small family resort of Agios Gordis lies opposite the airport on Corfu. If you're looking for the opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of larger package resorts, then this is the location for you. Indeed, Agios Gordis bay boasts what is perhaps the finest beach in Corfu, with its mile-long golden sands and crystal clear waters.

Agios Gordis attracts a cosmopolitan mix of visitors from different countries and various ages, and is very much a family-oriented resort. It is a small compact resort accessed by a road that ends at the beach. As there are no through-roads, traffic is kept to a minimum.

There is a good choice of traditional tavernas and some excellent restaurants that will keep you amply fed and watered throughout your stay. There are also many craft shops and grocery stores in which to shop, and several bars in which to drink; enjoy a cool sundowner after a day on the beach or even a nightcap on your way home.

As there is an ATM and an internet cafe in the village, Agios Gordis - without being remote or isolated - offers the perfect chance to relax in an idyllic beach setting.

Of particular note is the swish bay of Agios Stephanos, where boats pull up to the sea-front tavernas and you can swim from the beaches into the sheltered waters.

Feedback on House Louisa ...

Suitable for families with children. The house is near the beach and it's a beautiful house. (July 2010)
The garden from the villa opened directly onto the beach. The garden was lovely and green, with trees giving some shade. A great property in a lovely resort. (June 2010)
House Louisa is a lovely property (May 2010)
House Louisa has to be the most perfect holiday property. The house is great and well kitted out and the gardens are superb with sunny and shady areas throughout the day. We loved it and will definitely go back. (May 2009)
House Louisa was well equipped and had all the essentials. It was great to have an enclosed garden and to be on the beach. Please don't tell too many people about this place as it's a jewel! (May 2009)
High quality of accommodation and excellent welcome pack (July 2008)
We liked the location and how well equipped the property was. Right on the beach and close to all amenities. We loved the home from home feel - in fact, we never wanted for anything. (July 2008)
The house had a spacious design and lots of attractive features such as its open plan layout, a garden at the front and the back and a balcony for alfresco dining. (June 2008)

Perfect. Would holiday again in same property - especially having a 2 yr old with us. The advantage of having an enclosed garden and the beach on our doorstep was a real bonus and the facilities of property were very good. (June 2007)

Agios Gordis, Corfu ...

Probably the best location in Agios Gordis (July 2010)
Lots of places to eat and lots of supermarkets to choose from. Although the Greek restaurants are good, the Mexican restaurant was especially nice. The 'Sea Breeze' restaurant has a nice pool and the drinks there are cheeper than elsewhere. (June 2010)
It's a safe family resort (May 2010)
What a fantastic location - it was excellent to be able to walk onto the beach from our garden, and also only a short walk into the village for shops, restaurants etc. Lovely to wake up to hear the sea lapping at the bottom of the garden. Agios Gordis is a very quiet area (which we loved) but has everything you need. (May 2009)
Fab location, right on the beach but safe within an enclosed garden. Couldn't get better than that! (May 2009)
Beautiful location and did not feel too busy even at the height of the season (July 2008)
The stunning views and sunsets, and the central location for the village were perfect. Stay here... just don't tell anyone! (July 2008)
A great location with easy access to the beach and just a short stroll to the tavernas and shopping street. Magnificent seaward and inland views. (June 2008)
Everything was on our doorstep which was perfect for a holiday with small children. (June 2008)
The view of Orlithi from the house is truly magnificent. (May 2008)
A lovely beach and good access to the shops. There were a good variety of restaurants and some lovely local walks. The bus into Corfu is also reliable and cheap. (May 2008)
Agios Gordis is a good base for a holiday. It is not too busy but at the same time there is enough activity going on. The Greek people were lovely and friendly. (July 2007)
A lovely resort with many restaurants providing very good food that we thoroughly enjoyed. (July 2007)
The resort, beach & shops (and indeed everything) were great. (June 2007)
Very good and still reasonably quiet in June. (June 2007)

Hints, Tips and Local Information

I wasn't a fan of the local wine; next time I'll buy some at Gatwick to take with me! (June 2010)
Beautiful house, beach and village. From the moment we left home to the moment we got back everything arranged by Perfect Blue went incredibly smoothly. No hanging around at the airport, taxis exactly on time. Well done and thank you so much from all of us. (July 2008)
(June 2008)
Linda's supermarket was great - Linda is English and a great source of knowledge and help. (June 2008)
Apparently there is another property with the same name in the village - so don't get confused! (May 2008)
Visit the Poseidon Bar on the beach. It was excellent with great service and a lovely swimming pool. (July 2007)
Buses to Corfu Town (and from there to the rest of the island) are good, air-conditioned, run on time (at least in our experience) and are a cheap and easy way to get around. (July 2007)
Car hire recommended to negotiate the gargantuan hill to get out of the resort! (June 2007)
Keep up the good service! (June 2007)
