Villa Myrtia is a fantastic stone built villa full of character. The villa can sleep up to 8 people and it is located in the village of Atsipopoulo just a short drive away. away from the Venetian town of Rethymno. It has a lovely private pool surrounded by sun beds. A barbecue next to the pool is perfect for Al fresco dining on a warm summer Greek evening.
The villa itself is a spacious one with 4 bedrooms. Entering the villa there is a sitting-living area with and open plan fully equipped kitchen. On the same floor there are 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom with a bathtub. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor where there are 2 more bedrooms that also share a bathroom with bathtub. An exit leads to a big terrace with a lovely view to the village, the mountains and the countryside.
The village of Atsipopoulo is a small town with a lot of amenities within walking distance from the villa. The village has a pizza restaurant, a few tavernas, an Internet café, a pastry shop, a bakery, a couple of supermarkets and a cash point.

Direct flights are also available to Crete from Dublin.
Chania Airport (Crete) - there are flights departing from Birmingham, Gatwick, Manchester and Newcastle on Tuesdays.
Daily flights to Crete are available from Athens Airport.

The palace of Knossos is a must see attraction of Crete, unfortunately in high season it can also be hot and crowded. So be sure to take a bottle of water in with you. The informative signs are good, however an informative guide really can make the resort come alive.
