Villa Stratos is a traditional villa with two bedrooms built in the tranquil village of Megala Chorafia, located 9 km east of the lovely town of Chania. The villa offers wonderful sea and mountain views and it can sleep upto 4 adults and a small child.
On the ground floor there is an an open plan living room with fireplace, good sized dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen. A private pool with grassy landscape, sun loungers and umbrellas are also provided.
The upper level has a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a family bathroom.
Villa Stratos is located 3 km away from a lovely sandy beach. Traditional tavernas and a mini-market are less than five minutes walk away in the centre of the traditional village of Megala Chorafia. Moreover, the ancient town of Aptera is only 15 minutes walk away.
Villa Stratos is located in the village of Megala Horafia, built on a hill top over looking the sea, this village has roots going back to Minoan times. A ten minute drive from beautiful sandy beaches, yet situated in a quiet corner far away from any interruptions the villa offers peace in beautiful surroundings.
Visit the Ancient ruins of Aptera only 2 km away and see the Roman aquaducts and bath house; archeologists have still not completed excavations here; the site is so big! Boasting fantastic views of both the White Mountains and Souda Bay, the village is ideal for rest, exploring the Cretan countryside and enjoying a taste of Cretan village life.

Chania Airport (Crete) - there are flights departing from Birmingham, Gatwick, Manchester and Newcastle on Tuesdays.
Daily flights to Crete are available from Athens Airport.

The palace of Knossos is a must see attraction of Crete, unfortunately in high season it can also be hot and crowded. So be sure to take a bottle of water in with you. The informative signs are good, however an informative guide really can make the resort come alive.
Samaria Gorge is one of the Natioanl Parks of Greece and the only one in Crete. It starts at an altitude of 1227m at Xyloskalo near the village of Omalos (70km from Chania) and ends afer an 18km walk to the beach at the village of Agia Roumeli on the south coast of Crete.
