Harbour Cottage is in a quiet cul-de-sac, an ideal location as a short walk down winding paths will take you to the harbourfront's tavernas, shops and bars. As Perfect Blue are the only UK operator to offer Kea, you may rest assured that that your holiday will be relaxing and authentically Greek.
The cottage has two floors. On the ground floor you'll find a cool, bright lounge comfortably furnished with a sofa bed that is suitable for a child. There is a dining area with a dining table and four chairs. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped, with a cooker, fridge/freezer and a wide range of crockery, cutlery and utensils.
You can reach the upper floor by a spiral staircase in the lounge. Here you'll find a spacious air-conditioned double bedroom, in which the original panelled ceiling and floor have been retained and restored. Furnished with an antique wardrobe, dressing table and shelves, it also has French doors that open out onto a small balcony with views over the rooftops to the bay. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin and WC.
This is a splendid cottage and suits those wanting peace and privacy as well as easy access to the harbourfront.
Please note: Harbour Cottage is not recommended for children under the age of five. As the stairs in the cottage are steep, and there are several steps up from the harbourfront, this property is not suited for people with walking difficulties.
On the western side of the island is Agios Nikolas Bay, and deep within it lies the port of Korissia or 'Livadi' - considered to be one of the safest natural harbours in the Mediterranean.
Korissia is the port of Kea, where mainland ferries arrive and depart. Even if you're not staying here, it's the first place you'll encounter when you reach the island and is well worth a stop off. With its blue domed church sitting opposite its old lighthouse, this is a delightful little harbour where a jumble of traditional houses tumble down from the surrounding hillsides to a waterfront lined with cafes, tavernas and shops.
Korrisia makes a great base from which to explore the island as it is within easy reach of the capital town of Ioullis and the rest of Kea. However, if you are not inclined to stray too far, this lovely port also has a long, sandy and uncrowded beach that stretches as far as the headland and the charming chapel of Agios Georgos - the perfect spot to while away your days before meandering back to spend a pleasurable evening over a meal in the harbour.
There is something reallly special about arriving on a Greek island by boat and this particularly applies to the island of Kea. The ferry only takes an hour and departs from the port of Lavrio on the mainland, which is an easy forty minute drive down the main highway from Athens airport.
There are plenty of direct flights to Athens from the UK and it is approximately a 3 hour journey. You can fly direct from Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Luton and Manchester. Carriers include:

Kea's most popular sight is probably the Lion of kea, also called Lionidas. This is an imposing archaic sculpture of the lion that according to mythology chaesed away the nymphs of the island, causing many ravages. The story tells this lion was sent by the gods, because they were jealous of Kea's beauty.
