Villa Kea is in a raised position overlooking the sheltered harbour of Vourkari, a traditional port of call for yachts and motor cruisers. Although it's relatively small, there is a vibrant selection of tavernas, shops and of bars within walking distance to provide you with everything you need for your holiday.
The appeal of Villa Kea lies in its transport links. A ten minute walk will get you from Vourkari to the sandy beach at Galiskari, and a ten minute drive will take you to the beautiful Otzias Bay and the main port of Korissia. A local bus service connects you with both places, and also the historic mountain capital of Ioullis.
Villa Kea has been lovingly constructed in a traditional Cycladic style and is built on 3 levels using natural materials. It has fantastic sea views from the large wraparound terraces that surround the villa. The villa has separate living and dining areas, four bedrooms with three bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen with brand new appliances.
The master bedroom is on the top floor and contains a queen size bed, an ensuite bathroom and a hall that leads to a private courtyard. The floor below is open-plan and comprises of the lounge area, separate dining area with dining suite and a fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances. Also on this level, through three glass doors, you can reach the very large L-shaped terrace (63 square metres) with spectacular views of the sea and surrounding hills.
On the level below are two single bedrooms, one double bedroom, two bathrooms and a shower. The villa is very well insulated and ventilated, making air-conditioning unnecessary during even the hottest days of the summer, although there are several stand-up fans provided as well. All bedrooms are equipped with mosquito nets.
Villa Kea's location, architecture and excellent facilities will ensure you have a perfect holiday on Kea. As Perfect Blue are the only UK operator to offer Kea, you may rest assured that that your holiday will be relaxing and authentically Greek.
The little harbour of Vourkari is a delightful place popular with the yachting crowd. Although there is no beach in Vourkari itself, the lovely sandy beach at Gialiskari with its recommended beach taverna is less than a 15 minute walk away. Vourkari has quite a buzzy nightlife and there are several good tavernas and a couple of trendy bars. There is also a mini-market and a couple of arts and crafts shops. Otzias Bay and Korissia are only a ten minute drive (there is a local bus service) and the pretty island capital Ioullis is a further 15 minutes up the mountain.
There is something reallly special about arriving on a Greek island by boat and this particularly applies to the island of Kea. The ferry only takes an hour and departs from the port of Lavrio on the mainland, which is an easy forty minute drive down the main highway from Athens airport.
There are plenty of direct flights to Athens from the UK and it is approximately a 3 hour journey. You can fly direct from Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Luton and Manchester. Carriers include:

Kea's most popular sight is probably the Lion of kea, also called Lionidas. This is an imposing archaic sculpture of the lion that according to mythology chaesed away the nymphs of the island, causing many ravages. The story tells this lion was sent by the gods, because they were jealous of Kea's beauty.
