Property details

A perfect family villa that overlooks the straits of Ithaca, just 10 minutes drive from Fiskardo

The Ionian Villa enjoys a comfortably furnished lounge, complete with feature fireplace, satellite TV and DVD player. Patio doors lead onto the front terrace, pool and reveal those special panoramic views. Leading off from the lounge is the dining/kitchen, which again has patio doors onto the front terrace. The open plan kitchen is well fitted and comes complete with dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.

An inner hall leads from the entrance area to two of the air-conditioned bedrooms. The first is a twin with bath/shower and WC opposite, the second a double with shower and WC en-suite. Both rooms have patio doors onto the front pool terraces and superb views of the sea.

Stairs lead up off the lounge to the master bedroom, an attractive double with shower and WC en-suite and patio doors lead from the bedroom onto a large terrace and those breathtaking views below. The villa is fully air-conditioned throughout.

On stepping outside, you will discover the large private pool, which has ladder access and a shallow end of 1.4m - ideal for splashing about with the family. This is surrounded by spacious sun terraces, which are well furnished for both living and dining outdoors. There is a brick built barbeque for your added enjoyment.

Its location, apart from being breathtaking, assures you of peace and privacy, although not isolation as there is another villa on the opposite side of the drive behind the rear access of the villa.

Extra Information - Please note there is an additional £10 per person insurance breakage payment that needs to be added to the price of this villa.

Why Holiday in Kefalonia?

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands, but among the least commercialised. The coastline offers mile after mile of sandy beaches and unspoilt rural areas that are waiting to be explored.

The weather on the island of Kefalonia consists of rainy winters and dry, hot summers. With higher winter rainfall, Kefalonia boasts verdant plains, forests and hillsides dotted with grazing mountain goats.

Great food is certainly a feature of Kefalonia. Feta cheeses from goats and ewes milk, olives and fresh fish from the ports at Sami, Poros, Argostoli and Fiskardo are among the islands' specialities served at excellent tavernas across Kefalonia. Customer Reviews

Feedback on The Ionian Villa ...

If anything the villa exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect and the villa owner was extremely kind and gracious. (May 2010)

Fiskardo, Kefalonia ...

The views were fantastic and, because we were high up, we enjoyed a constant, cool breeze. We were also just a few minutes' drive from a taverna and supermarkets, and close to Alites beach with its small taverna. (May 2010)

Hints, Tips and Local Information

Definitely go to Alites beach and taverna - it's tiny but worth it. The taverna on the roadside at Maganos was ideal for late arrivals, and a trip to Ithica is also worthwhile. (May 2010)
