Property details

A fantastic 5 bedroom villa situated amongst pine trees, in a very quiet location. Villa Helen is the perfect holiday home for larger groups or families

Beautifully situated amongst pine trees on the hillside above Emblissi beach, Villa Helen offers peace and privacy and a high standard of holiday accommodation. The views are just fantastic and the pretty harbour of Fiskardo is just less than one mile, whilst the beach is half a mile away.

A drive leads up to the villa and to a parking area below the property. A flight of steps then leads up to the middle floor of the villa and a most attractive open plan living/dining room. This is a spacious area with wooden beamed vaulted ceiling and natural stonework. The formal dining area is to one end, whilst the comfortably furnished lounge has fireplace, satellite TV and DVD player. Two sets of large patio doors open out onto the front pool terrace and boast wonderful views of the sea. The open plan kitchen has been well fitted and has dishwasher and microwave and there is a washing machine for your added convenience.

Two of the five air-conditioned bedrooms are also located on this floor. This is a double with full bathroom adjacent and a twin bedded room, which has shower room with WC adjacent. Both bedrooms enjoy access to a spacious terrace and those lovely views once again. Stairs then lead to the master bedroom suite, which is situated on the top floor of the villa. This is a very large room with king size double bed, dressing area and a most attractive full bathroom en-suite with bath, separate shower and WC. Patio doors lead off from here onto a front covered terrace, which boasts the most wonderful views down to the sea and the islands beyond. There is a private rear balcony off from this bedroom also.

On the lower ground floor, and with a separate entrance, there is a self-contained guest suite, although of a simpler style, this offers family accommodation of a living room, which has a fully fitted kitchenette with hob and refrigerator and two bedrooms. These are a double and a single (not air-conditioned and with a pull-out bed) and they share a large shower room with walk-in shower and WC.

Outside the 8 metre infinity pool sits amongst sun terraces to the front of the living accommodation on the middle level of the villa. It has corner steps into the shallow end for children and the whole area ensures that the villa's superb position is maximised to the full. The terrace is well furnished for relaxing and dining outdoors and there is a brick built barbeque here for your added enjoyment.

Extra Information - Please note there is an additional £10 per person insurance breakage payment that needs to be added to the price of this villa.

Location

Fiskardo, Kefalonia

Villa Helen is located just one mile away from the pretty harbour village of Fiskardo.

The pretty little Venetian harbour with its pastel shade buildings line the waterfront, a haven for yachtsmen and women from all over Europe. Narrow alleyways lead away from the harbour past old buildings covered with bougainvillea, whilst the great selection of restaurants, sleepy tavernas, some more sophisticated bars and shops line the harbour side.

Why Holiday in Kefalonia?

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands, but among the least commercialised. The coastline offers mile after mile of sandy beaches and unspoilt rural areas that are waiting to be explored.

The weather on the island of Kefalonia consists of rainy winters and dry, hot summers. With higher winter rainfall, Kefalonia boasts verdant plains, forests and hillsides dotted with grazing mountain goats.

Great food is certainly a feature of Kefalonia. Feta cheeses from goats and ewes milk, olives and fresh fish from the ports at Sami, Poros, Argostoli and Fiskardo are among the islands' specialities served at excellent tavernas across Kefalonia. Villa Helen has the most stunning views. (May 2010)

Fiskardo, Kefalonia ...

Best bits of the location are the setting and the view. We were slightly concerned it might be a bit isolated, but although very private, it was nearer to everything than we'd imagined. (July 2010)
