This fantastic villa is accessed off a quiet road in the village of Lourdas. Once inside, the quality of the property is plain to see. A small entrance hall/lobby extends into an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen which has been tastefully furnished throughout. Large patio doors extend forward over the front of the villa and those extensive views over the bay. The lounge has satellite TV and access to the front terrace and pool area. The kitchen is well fitted with the most modern units and has a dishwasher and microwave. On this ground floor level also is a lovely shower room and WC, which not only services the house during the day but is the second bathroom to the first upstairs bedroom.
A feature staircase then leads up to the first floor and here is to be found the two pretty bedrooms and the second bathroom. The first bedroom is a twin and this has patio doors onto the upstairs terrace, whilst the second is a spacious double again with patio doors to the front terrace and those wonderful views of the sea, beach and even Zante in the distance. Complementing this accommodation is a beautifully tiled family bathroom with shower, WC and vanity unit. The washing machine is also located here. The villa has internet access, please bring your own compatible computer.
The downstairs terrace off the lounge is railed off from the swimming pool and terraces affording the family complete safety for 'little ones'. The 11 metre pool with jacuzzi takes pride of place to the front of the villa and catches the sun all through the day. It has Roman steps with a shallow end for children and is surrounded by spacious sun terraces which are well furnished for eating and relaxing outdoors. There is also a wooden pergola providing shade for your added comfort. There is a brick built barbeque for those Al fresco dining experiences.

Villa Keto is located just half a mile from the village centre of Loudras, which has a fine selection of tavernas and restaurants. The nearest beach is a 5 minute car journey from the holiday villa.

The beach offers sun loungers, brollies, pedaloes, windsurfers and small motorboats for hire and is one of the outstanding beaches in Kefalonia with clean sand and turquoise seas.

The weather on the island of Kefalonia consists of rainy winters and dry, hot summers. With higher winter rainfall, Kefalonia boasts verdant plains, forests and hillsides dotted with grazing mountain goats.
Great food is certainly a feature of Kefalonia. Andromeda Cookery School run 1, 3 and 7 day courses, covering many aspects of traditional Greek cookery. A sample class includes preparation of fresh salads, including Greek salad and Tzatziki, appetizers including giant beans, meatballs and stuffed aubergines, along with main courses from beef stifado, moussaka and pastitsio. The price includes all ingredients, a certificate and an apron.
Greek wine has an increasingly good reputation, and Kefalonia famous is for its Robala grape which produces the most famous red wines in Greece. There are several vineyards on the island and all are op[en to the public pretty every day of the week during summer and offers visitors a fascinating glimpse of the the cultural side of Kefalonia. The owners are delighted to show off there wares and you can try (not too much!) before you buy and prices are very competitive.
Myrtos Beach on the west coast of Kefalonia is regularly included in the worlds 10 best beaches. When you arrive there are spectacular views from above the beach, but is equally impressive on the surf line! unbelievably it can often be fairly quite as it is not near to any resorts...
Argostoli is the capital of Kefalonia and is well worth a visit, particularly in the aerly evening. The traditional harbour contrasts with smart shopping, and at night the central square surrounded by swish bars and tavernas is the place to hang out with the Kefalonian Cognescenti!
Situated 5km to the south of Sami is Drogatari Cave sits on top of Melissani Lake. It has a rare beauty with almost translucent ameythest waters that reflect the sunlight that pours through the roof back onto the cave walls. You can take a boat trip around the cavern which although a little bit on the touristy side is well worth the experience...
