Villa Poseidon is a really terrific family villa located within walking distance of Emblissi beach and only short drive into Fiskardo itself. It is arranged on different levels which allows it to offer flexible and spacious arrangements for families or friends sharing their Greek Island holiday.
You enter into a most comfortably furnished lounge, which is on the middle level of the villa, and this relaxing space comes complete with fireplace, satellite TV and DVD player. Large picture windows make the most of the wonderful sea views. Patio doors then open out onto a well furnished terrace overlooking the pool. Leading off from the lounge is the fully equipped kitchen, which even includes a small dishwasher and microwave. A seperate utility room contains the washing machine.
On the lower level are two pretty bedrooms, a twin and a double, which share a full family bathroom between just the two rooms. There is also a second comfortably furnished lounge, which comes complete with TV, DVD and Sony Playstation 2 - ideal for families sharing or to keep the kids amused while the parent relax upstairs! There is also has a small kitchenette/diner with microwave, small dishwasher and fridge for your added convenience. To complete the flexible living space, there is also a bathroom is located on this level.
From the main entrance level, a short flight of stairs lead up to a further twin and double and these two rooms are separated by a full bathroom. One of these bedrooms has patio doors onto a side terrace, whilst the other bedroom has patio doors onto a small balcony overlooking the pool.
The master double bedroom, with kingsize bed, is on the top floor and comes with the luxury of a hydro massage shower room with WC en-suite. Doors open out onto a lovely terrace, offering those breathtaking panoramic views towards Emblissi beach and the sea beyond. All bedrooms in the villa are air-conditioned.
Although close to many attractions, this villa is designed for outside living inn the privacy of your own grounds, and so has very spacious terraces, all well furnished for relaxing and soaking up the sun. They surround the superb 10 metre pool that forms the focus of many days spent at this villa. At one corner of the pool there is a built-in Jacuzzi, an ideal spot for sitting, relaxing and sipping an ice cold drink. For the safety and ease of children, there are steps that lead into the shallow end of the pool. For those wanting to stay out in the Kefalonian sunshine all day, the brick built barbeque and outside dining seating offer the opportunity for enjoying glorious meals al-fresco.

This superb villa is situated in a most stunning position and boasts panoramic views of the sea and surrounding islands of Lefkas and Ithaca in the distance. Sitting in an area of beautiful detached villas and only 300 yards from the first class Emelisse Hotel, the pretty harbour of Fiskardo with its great choice of restaurants and waterside tavernas is less than a mile down the hill and so this is an ideal location to enjoy a great holiday in Cephalonia.

Andromeda Cookery School run 1, 3 and 7 day courses, covering many aspects of traditional Greek cookery. A sample class includes preparation of fresh salads, including Greek salad and Tzatziki, appetizers including giant beans, meatballs and stuffed aubergines, along with main courses from beef stifado, moussaka and pastitsio. The price includes all ingredients, a certificate and an apron.
Greek wine has an increasingly good reputation, and Kefalonia famous is for its Robala grape which produces the most famous red wines in Greece. There are several vineyards on the island and all are op[en to the public pretty every day of the week during summer and offers visitors a fascinating glimpse of the the cultural side of Kefalonia. The owners are delighted to show off there wares and you can try (not too much!) before you buy and prices are very competitive.
Myrtos Beach on the west coast of Kefalonia is regularly included in the worlds 10 best beaches. When you arrive there are spectacular views from above the beach, but is equally impressive on the surf line! unbelievably it can often be fairly quite as it is not near to any resorts...
Argostoli is the capital of Kefalonia and is well worth a visit, particularly in the aerly evening. The traditional harbour contrasts with smart shopping, and at night the central square surrounded by swish bars and tavernas is the place to hang out with the Kefalonian Cognescenti!
Situated 5km to the south of Sami is Drogatari Cave sits on top of Melissani Lake. It has a rare beauty with almost translucent ameythest waters that reflect the sunlight that pours through the roof back onto the cave walls. You can take a boat trip around the cavern which although a little bit on the touristy side is well worth the experience...
