This fantastic windmill was first constructed in the middle of the 19th century, Within the last couple of years it has been renovated into a charming holiday home. The renovations have been carefully carried as many of the properties authentic features are still very visible.
The windmill has three floors connected together by an internal stone staircase. The ground floor has been turned into a living room with a TV, located on the first floor is a double bedroom and on the second floor is a twin bedroom with 2 single beds.
Alongside the windmill is a separate building, with a fully equipped kitchen/dining room and bathroom.
A spacious courtyard surrounds the windmill, where you can enjoy the stunning views and admie the exceptional beauty of the area at sunset.
Vaos Windmill is located in the lovely village of Tripiti, in an area with a rich history which was particularly prosperous during the Classical and Hellenistic periods. The village stands on a hill sloping down the sea and owes its name to its land, which composed by soft volcanic rock, and gives the impression of having being perforated.
Picturesque white windmills stand on the highest point of the village, some of which have been transformed into elegant rooms for rent.
Tripiti is famous for its excellent tavernas, specialised in tasty appetisers.
