Dating back to 1835, the Canava has been lovingly restored and converted by the owner, a local artist. This spacious villa is in a semi-rural location, with off-road parking, on the edge of the quiet village Emporio, while the long sandy beach Perissa is only 1km away. The lovely furnished roof terrace is perhaps the best place for some breathtaking views to the castellan (old town) and beyond to the sea, while the private courtyard is ideal for enjoying a book in the sun.
Large open spaces, cool stone walls and top quality modern facilities characterise the Canava. The distinctive walls and furnishings are complemented by the owner's own pictures dotted around the villa. There is a living room with home cinema and a kitchen/dining area. You'll find the kitchen well-equipped with a fridge/freezer, oven, cutlery and plenty of space. There are two bathrooms and enough bedrooms for six people.

Emporio is a quiet village just 12km from Fira, and 1km in the east from the long sandy beach of Perissa. Fortified during medieval times, it has narrow streets and paths with houses built on hillsides. The tower in the square, Goulas, was built during the Ottoman occupation of the island to protect the people from pirates. Emporio is easily accessible by bus (especially as it is on the way to Perissa), car and motorbike.
