Ariel Cottage is only only ten minutes drive from Skopelos town. Ideal for those wanting to be close to amenities whilst still enjoying a peaceful location. The pretty hillside cottage boasts stunning views, benefits from a private pool and offers privacy.
It is the perfect spot for walkers, with easy access to many trails, as well as for painters who will appreciate the wonderful scenery.
The layout is simple with an open plan living and dining space with comfortable furnishings and French windows leading out to a small front terrace which looks down the wooded valley to Skopelos Town and the sea beyond.
The well equipped kitchen continues through from the living room and is complete with dishwasher, with a door off the kitchen into the spacious wc/shower room. Stairs lead up from the kitchen area to the large double bedroom with windows looking out over the hillside.
This cottage is built on two levels and is entered from the pool area into a warm and comfortable sitting room with a corner fireplace and open plan kitchen. The large double French doors next to the kitchen lead to a spacious terrace that makes for easy serving of al-fresco meals.
This living room of this cottage is also comfortably furnished and has a sofa (which converts to a bed for a child) and with spectacular views to the lush green forests and sea. Stairs lead up from the kitchen area to the large double bedroom with windows looking out over the hillside.
Ariel Cottage has its own “privacy” walls and gated entrance from the access drive (dirt track from the main road) with a further door in the high side wall leading to the sister villa next door. The second villa is a great solutions for friends and couples that like to holiday together.
Skopelos Town is 6km away and the nearest beach is 12 km away at Panormos. Car hire is essential and due to the rustic nature of the terrain, we recommend hiring a Jeep.
The fact that there is no airport on Skopelos can only enhance your holiday as it means that none of the big package holiday companies go there.
To get to Skopelos you fly to Skiathos from either Birmingham, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. From Skiathos you take the Flying Dolphin which takes approx. 1 hour to reach Skopelos.
You will be met at Skiathos Airport where a taxi will be waiting to take you to the port for the next available hydrofoil or ferry. Another representative awaits your arrival on Skopelos.
Skopelos can also be reached by ferry from Agios Konstantinos on the mainland.
