This pretty cottage is very well appointed and decorated in a traditional island style. Entering into a full sized kitchen and then open plan living room with traditional slate floors and wood-beamed ceilings, this homey cottage is suitable for 4/6 people.
The spacious living room has a cosy fireplace in the corner with built-in style sofas on either side which can be used as extra sleeping space. From the living room, the lovely terrace is reached through French doors where some of the most fabulous views of the harbour and town can be enjoyed. This is the perfect place to sit out and enjoy wonderful views to the sea and olive covered hillsides.
A bedroom with twin beds is found at the end of the short hallway from the kitchen, which is comfortably furnished and has a small balcony which looks out at the same fabulous views. A w/c shower room is also conveniently located between the kitchen and bedroom.
Stepping through an open doorway from the kitchen, a comfortable and spacious dining area is reached which also has easy access, through French windows, to the pool area. Large windows allow plenty of light and maximum views to the harbour below. The spacious master bedroom is found through a further door from the dining area. This bedroom has a double bed and a second w/c shower room and is well separated from the main house for maximum privacy. The best feature of this room is the fabulous views from the small balcony towards the harbour and town in the distance.
Elia Cottages' wonderful position on a gently sloping hillside gives it a wonderfully private setting. It is nestled in the olive trees and completely hidden from the road. Although it shares the same property with Villa Elia, it is tucked far enough away in the olive groves to offer plenty of privacy for both villa and cottage occupants. The addition of its own private pool with eternity wall and spacious terraces overlooking the views of town and harbour makes this a fantastic cottage with all of the comforts one could need.
One of the best assets of Elia Cottage is its convenient location to both town and beaches. Within 2 km of the town and 3 km to some of the islands best beaches, it has something to suit everyone. The convenience of Skopelos town, with its full array of restaurants, shops and cafes, all within just a few minutes drive from the cottage, make it perfect for those not wanting to spend much time in the car. The location of the property also suits walkers extremely well. With town just 15 minutes by foot and Stafilos and Velanio beaches only 30 minutes away, this centrally located villa is a great choice for those who enjoy the nature.
The fact that there is no airport on Skopelos can only enhance your holiday as it means that none of the big package holiday companies go there.
To get to Skopelos you fly to Skiathos from either Birmingham, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. From Skiathos you take the Flying Dolphin which takes approx. 1 hour to reach Skopelos.
You will be met at Skiathos Airport where a taxi will be waiting to take you to the port for the next available hydrofoil or ferry. Another representative awaits your arrival on Skopelos.
Skopelos can also be reached by ferry from Agios Konstantinos on the mainland.
