This modest cottage has lovely outdoor terraces which enjoy both sun and shade throughout the day. The built-in barbeque is perfect for holiday cooking and the tall trees that surround the house and pool contribute to the natural feel. The location of the cottage makes for breathtaking views and privacy.
This quaint country cottage has been lovingly refurbished by the grandson of the original owner who built it 110 years ago. One enters into a living room with built in seating which can become a third bed if required. A fully modern w/c shower room has also been added to this ground floor.
The bedroom is reached by a stairway from the sitting room and has twin beds which are set up together. The room feels light and spacious with open beamed ceilings and pine wood floors. The balcony is the perfect spot to sit and enjoying either a morning coffee or evening ouzo with a view.
The country kitchen is reached by a separate entrance and has a lovely breakfast table surrounded by windows which create a light and airy space as if sitting outdoors. The simple kitchenette is well-equipped for simple meals and still has the original bread oven as a feature of the room.

Stafilos Beach is a 10 minute walk down hill.
Situated on the hilltops above Stafilos Bay, Michaels Country Cottage is conveniently located for those who want to be close to all. The position of this property is ideal for parties that want to be within walking distance to beaches and tavernas. A small foot path which begins at the cottage links up with the main road down to the beaches of Stafilos and Velanio which are reached in about a 10 minute walk. Car hire is not essential since the bus stop is a 10minute walk away and the bus service is fairly regular. In the vicinity, there are two restaurants and a small mini market for essentials.
Skopelos town with all of its amenities is approx. 4km away and can be reached by foot in approx 50 minutes along a little used dirt track. Please keep in mind that persons with walking difficulties or the unfit might find walking the steep uphill driveway challenging. In these cases, a hired car is highly recommended.
The fact that there is no airport on Skopelos can only enhance your holiday as it means that none of the big package holiday companies go there.
To get to Skopelos you fly to Skiathos from either Birmingham, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. From Skiathos you take the Flying Dolphin which takes approx. 1 hour to reach Skopelos.
You will be met at Skiathos Airport where a taxi will be waiting to take you to the port for the next available hydrofoil or ferry. Another representative awaits your arrival on Skopelos.
Skopelos can also be reached by ferry from Agios Konstantinos on the mainland.
