Sitting all on one level, Villa Aeolos is surrounded by extensive terraces. The sunny back patio is furnished with a picnic styled table which makes a perfect place for breakfasts. The views are of the olive covered hillsides. The front terrace is also furnished with a dining table as well as some comfy wicker chairs from which to enjoy the fabulous views.
Entering into the sitting room of Villa Aeolos, the feel is very spacious. The sitting room has a large seating area with a sofa, arm chairs and a second group of chairs. There is a fireplace with television and music center. The most striking feature of the room is the traditional terra cotta floors. With windows and French doors running the length of the wall, the views are enjoyable from inside. A few steps down, separated by a low wall from the sitting room is the large fully equipped kitchen. A built-in bench seat serves as additional seating to the wooden dining table. You can imagine sitting and enjoying the views over long evening meals.
From this main living room, the house is splits into two wings. A curtained hallway from the kitchen has a roomy w/c shower room and leads to the double bedroom. There are full sized, wall to wall wardrobes and the bed faces toward the pool terraces.
The opposite wing of the house is reached via a doorway at the other side of the living room. A long hallway leads to two more bedrooms and an enormous bathroom. The master bedroom is furnished with wall to wall wardrobes and a double bed. There is a television hooked up to a DVD player only. The room has private access to the front terrace. The other bedroom is furnished with bunk beds and a German PC. The enormous bathroom consists of double washbasins, bidet, shower stall and a full sized bathtub.
The pool area is situated slightly off to the side of the villa and is one of the largest swimming pools on the island. The gated property of Villa Aeolos is surrounded by groves of olive and fruit trees.
With 3 bedrooms, private pool and stunning views, Villa Aeolos is perfect for larger families or several couples travelling together.
Villa Aeolos sits on a private property located in the hills just above Skopelos Town where it enjoys fabulous views from the front and back of the property. In less than 10 minutes drive is Skopelos Town with its lively waterfront full of cafes, restaurants and shopping. The nearest beach to the house, Glyfoneri Beach is just a few minutes drive from the villa. Just around the corner from Skopelos port, at the bay Ag. Konstaninos, Glyfoneri has a small selection of traditional tavernas open from mid-May to mid September. The more popular beaches of Stafilos and Velanio are reached in about 15 minute drive from the villa. Given its countryside location, Villa Aeolos is a great place to explore the area by foot and hikers and walkers will find the nature pristine and peaceful.
The fact that there is no airport on Skopelos can only enhance your holiday as it means that none of the big package holiday companies go there.
To get to Skopelos you fly to Skiathos from either Birmingham, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. From Skiathos you take the Flying Dolphin which takes approx. 1 hour to reach Skopelos.
You will be met at Skiathos Airport where a taxi will be waiting to take you to the port for the next available hydrofoil or ferry. Another representative awaits your arrival on Skopelos.
Skopelos can also be reached by ferry from Agios Konstantinos on the mainland.
