These apartments have been on our list of favourites for a long time. Nestled directly above Bouka beach, the location is perfect.
These well positioned cluster of apartments are part of a small privately owned complex. The large shared swimming pool is surrounded by well maintained lawns and landscaped gardens. Sun beds are provided and there is also a covered picnic table and barbeque area. Steps lead down to Bouka Beach. This super sandy beach is pretty and traditional. Complete with small fishing harbour, it is popular with locals and those who happen upon it. You can hire sunbeds and umbrellas and enjoy a light lunch in one of the nearby tavernas.
The one bed-roomed apartments have either a private terrace or a balcony looking over the garden out to sea. They are spacious and the twin bedroom is air-conditioned. A full-sized sofabed in the living/dining area means they can sleep up to three people. The open plan kitchenette is well-equipped with a cooker and a large fridge, and the tiled bathroom has a shower, a basin and WC. If required, a fold-out bed suitable for a small child is available on request.
The surrounding area, Bouka, is a sleepy fishing harbour but if you're looking for livelier spots, the resort of Tsilivi is a short drive away. This bustling family resort has a comprehensive range of shops, restaurants and bars to explore.

This sleepy little fishing harbour provides an unbeatable mix of the peace and tranquillity of Bouka itself combined with its accessibility to busier and more lively resorts and all the facilities they offer. It is less than a five minute drive (or a twenty minute walk along the beach) from the bustling family resort of Tsilivi with its comprehensive range of shops, restaurants and bars and only fifteen minutes from the capital of the island, Zakynthos Town, with its lovely port and squares.
It has its own beach, complete with a small beach bar that serves snacks and drinks during the day, and is flanked by larger beaches that, while being that bit busier, offer a comprehensive choice of watersports and tavernas. These include the highly recommended Vineyard, which is considered to be one of the best fish tavernas on the island with unbelievably welcoming hospitality and food to match.
Bouka provides you with a delightful holiday setting in which to relax and unwind. Secluded and unhurried without being isolated, this is an altogether enchanting spot full of character and charm.
Hot summers and warm evenings are assured on this southernmost Ionian Island. Visitors will find established resorts with plenty of amenities and activities to keep the children busy.

The majority of Zante flights depart on Sundays and Thursdays. There are no flights from the UK available on Saturdays, when direct flight instead run from Cork and Dublin. Daily flights to Zante are available from Athens Airport.

No family holiday to Zakynthos would be complete without a trip to a waterpark. We can confirm that these are great fun for all the family, including slides, pools, rafting or just lazing by the waterside.
Zante is known as the most important nesting ground for the endangered species of loggerhead sea-turtles, the Caretta-Caretta, and a national marine park had been created to protect and preserve these creatures. During the summer months, holidaymakers can visit Kalamaki or Laganags and take a glass-bottomed boat trip to view the turtles in their natural habitat and even swim with them.
