This small courtyard of linked villas offers lovely modern accommodation in the resort of Kalamaki. The villas are quietly located amongst olive groves and pine woods and a short walk to the neareast tavernas and mini market. The main resort of Kalamaki is only a fifteen minute walk and the shimmering blue waters and soft sands of Kalamaki's famous Crystal Beach is only 1.7km away, making this a popular resort for families.

Set within secure gated grounds, these air-conditioned villa apartments are furnished to a good standard. The living area on the ground floor is comfortably equipped and has a sofa bed which easily sleeps an extra child. Doors open onto a veranda that overlooks the pools and gardens.

There is a well-equipped kitchen complete with a dining table and chairs, as well as a cloakroom with WC. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and the main bathroom, with shower. Glass doors lead onto a large balcony overlooking the pool and gardens below.

Kalamaki is a quiet resort with a calming traditional charm. The resort's main attraction is undoubtedly its long sandy beach where the rare Loggerhead turtle nests. How To Get There

Flights to Zante leave from the following UK airports: Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Doncaster, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Stansted.

The majority of Zante flights depart on Sundays and Thursdays. There are no flights from the UK available on Saturdays, when direct flight instead run from Cork and Dublin. Daily flights to Zante are available from Athens Airport.

Kalamaki, Zante ...

Kalamaki was quiet enough but was well positioned with good clean beaches and enough good quality restaurants and tavernas to provide sufficient nightlife even for our teenagers! (July 2009)

Sea Turtle Spotting by Glass Bottom Boat (Natural Beauty)

Zante is known as the most important nesting ground for the endangered species of loggerhead sea-turtles, the Caretta-Caretta, and a national marine park had been created to protect and preserve these creatures. During the summer months, holidaymakers can visit Kalamaki or Laganags and take a glass-bottomed boat trip to view the turtles in their natural habitat and even swim with them.
