Markella Garden Suites and Studios are a short walk to the sea shore of Keri. Set in private landscaped gardens, the garden suites are tucked away in the grounds and look out onto the lawns and pool area.
This traditional yet characterful accommodation offers living space over 2 levels. The living area comprises of 2 single sofa beds and has french windows that open onto a ground floor terrace. A few steps lead down to the open plan kitchen area that is well equipped with full oven and fridge for simple self catering.
The main bedroom with double bed is on the upper floor and also french windows leading out on to a private balcony. The bathroom has a walk in shower.
The gardens are well maintained and feature a large 8m by 20m shared pool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided. There is also a small childrens pool section. A handy snack bar is on site for guests and serves light snacks and refreshments. There is also the opportunity to choose a special dinner of the day. The delightful owners are the perfect hosts.

Keri is a hidden gem and at the top of our places to stay list. Offering a typical Greek atmosphere and some super local restaurants and tavernas, life is relaxed, peaceful and extremely enjoyable. The beach is approximately 600 metres away and is a mix of sand at one end and pebbles at the other, making it a popular area for snorkelling. The bay is generally very sheltered and offers great swimming. Perfect for families, couples and friends looking for somewhere traditional with local nightlife and a good choice of restaurants.

The majority of Zante flights depart on Sundays and Thursdays. There are no flights from the UK available on Saturdays, when direct flight instead run from Cork and Dublin. Daily flights to Zante are available from Athens Airport.

Zante is known as the most important nesting ground for the endangered species of loggerhead sea-turtles, the Caretta-Caretta, and a national marine park had been created to protect and preserve these creatures. During the summer months, holidaymakers can visit Kalamaki or Laganags and take a glass-bottomed boat trip to view the turtles in their natural habitat and even swim with them.
