This distinctive country villa is situated on a private estate and offers much more than a regular holiday villa. Nestled in its own 10 acres of far reaching olive groves, there is a feeling of grandeur and space, yet seclusion. The villa is a perfect family retreat. It has a large swimming pool and is set amongst lush, mature gardens but also has an intensely private atmosphere, making it particularly suitable for those wanting a truly peaceful holiday in a beautiful area of Zante.
The Summer Villa is spacious and thoughtfully laid out. In keeping with the charm of the villa, the furnishings are traditional and elegant. The rooms are wonderfully sunny and have polished wooden floors.
The main living area is arranged on one level. On entering the reception hall the bedrooms are to the left, while the large, comfortable living room and farmhouse kitchen make up the right-hand wing. The living room features a substantial dining table to one end and a comfortable seating area to the other. French windows lead out onto the extensive terraces and secluded pool area.
The left side of this villa is given over to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The large master double bedroom is furnished in the same classical style used throughout this fine home. French doors lead from the master bedroom onto the main terrace overlooking private olive groves. The master bedroom and fourth bedroom both benefit from their own corridor and each have a private bathroom with full bath. There are two twin bedrooms that share a further bathroom. The layout of the bedrooms would make this an ideal holiday home for large families or groups that like to holiday together but still prefer privacy. All the bedrooms are air conditioned.
Whether you want to explore the grounds, relax by the pool or take a short drive to one of many pretty harbour front tavernas, it will be a tough decision, which would be best made whilst enjoying a cool drink on the sunny terrace.
There is also internet access and table tennis.
Romiri is a tranquil hamlet set in a beautiful countryside at the foot of Zante's dramatic central mountain chain. The surrounding hills and countryside are covered with olive groves and pine forests.
Although Romiri is a peaceful location, it offers a good central position from which to explore Zante. The island's best beaches and sights are within a short drive as are the shops and tavernas at Lithakia (where incidentally we can highly recommend the oven roated lamb at Denis's taverna!). A couple of minutes drive towards the coast through Lithakia brings you to the fishing harbour and sandy beaches at Agios Sostis and Porta Koukla.
The Keri peninsular, which to many is the most beautiful part of the island, is also easily accessible from this part of the island, as are the culture and facilities of Zakynthos Town which is a 15 minute drive away.
Hot summers and warm evenings are assured on this southernmost Ionian Island. Visitors will find established resorts with plenty of amenities and activities to keep the children busy.
We specialise in Zante villas and apartments outside resorts and in quieter areas on the island such as Bouka and Vassilikos. Enjoy the calm turquoise waters that lap golden beaches along the South coast or explore the more rugged Northern corners of the island. Shipwreck Bay (Navagio Beach) and the Blue Caves are certainly worth seeing.

The majority of Zante flights depart on Sundays and Thursdays. There are no flights from the UK available on Saturdays, when direct flight instead run from Cork and Dublin. Daily flights to Zante are available from Athens Airport.

No family holiday to Zakynthos would be complete without a trip to a waterpark. We can confirm that these are great fun for all the family, including slides, pools, rafting or just lazing by the waterside.
Zante is known as the most important nesting ground for the endangered species of loggerhead sea-turtles, the Caretta-Caretta, and a national marine park had been created to protect and preserve these creatures. During the summer months, holidaymakers can visit Kalamaki or Laganags and take a glass-bottomed boat trip to view the turtles in their natural habitat and even swim with them.
