The superb three bedroom villa is tucked away in the corner of an exclusive collection of villa retreats. Separated by landscaped gardens and trees, it benefits from its own 10 metre pool and terrace. The outdoor area is well equipped with seating and sun loungers, whether you choose a shady corner or the sunny terrace.
Internally, the ground floor comprises of an open plan living and dining area. Practical, yet comfortable with patio doors that lead onto the pool terrace. The kitchen is well equipped, catering for all your holiday needs.
The master bedroom is on the ground floor with patio doors leading onto the terrace. It also benefits from a private bathroom.
Two further twin bedrooms are on the upper floor and share a bathroom.
All bedrooms have air conditioning.
Villa Ira is located in the perfect location for a traditional and peaceful holiday. Pure relaxation and tranquillity, located just outside the traditional mountain village of Aghios Leon. The nearby villages will provide your essential supplies, however we think you should take advantage of the “in house” restaurant delivery service as you may find it hard to want to leave the villa at all.
The villa is only a 20 minute drive from the sandy beaches in the south and the nearby Porto Limnionas and Porto Roxa are popular swimming coves, favourites with snorkelers.
Take advantage of the mountain bikes which can be provided free of charge, on a request basis. A great, fun way to explore the nearby country lanes, mountain paths and olive groves. Or, enjoy the immediate area at a slower pace and discover the walks on foot.
Free internet is available and a laptop computer can also be provided on request (payable locally).
Aghios Leon is a traditional village on the West Coast of Zakynthos. The area is surrounded by pine forests and pretty countryside. The dramatic coastlines along the West Coast boast stunning rocky inlets with inviting clear blue waters that have developed into popular swim stops with the locals. Porto Roxa and Porto Limnionas are stunning coves. We suggest you grab yourself a snorkel, enjoy a refreshing swim before ending the afternoon in the taverna overlooking the sea.
Along this coastline, are more traditional villages such as Loucha. Loucha was one of a few villages that escaped the heavy destruction of the earthquake in 1953 and the buildings were relatively unharmed.
Hot summers and warm evenings are assured on this southernmost Ionian Island. Visitors will find established resorts with plenty of amenities and activities to keep the children busy.
We specialise in Zante villas and apartments outside resorts and in quieter areas on the island such as Bouka and Vassilikos. Enjoy the calm turquoise waters that lap golden beaches along the South coast or explore the more rugged Northern corners of the island. Shipwreck Bay (Navagio Beach) and the Blue Caves are certainly worth seeing.

The majority of Zante flights depart on Sundays and Thursdays. There are no flights from the UK available on Saturdays, when direct flight instead run from Cork and Dublin. Daily flights to Zante are available from Athens Airport.

No family holiday to Zakynthos would be complete without a trip to a waterpark. We can confirm that these are great fun for all the family, including slides, pools, rafting or just lazing by the waterside.
Zante is known as the most important nesting ground for the endangered species of loggerhead sea-turtles, the Caretta-Caretta, and a national marine park had been created to protect and preserve these creatures. During the summer months, holidaymakers can visit Kalamaki or Laganags and take a glass-bottomed boat trip to view the turtles in their natural habitat and even swim with them.
