Harami and Kanoni Beach
These beaches, just a few minutes’’ walk from Lakka, are a double act. They’re separated from each other by a tiny rocky promontory, but to all intents and purposes they’re one and the same.
Their unique selling point their sandy seabed, which makes it easy to paddle.
Hiking in Paxos
Many books have been written on the subject of walking in Paxos. Hiking is the best way to check out the island’s unspoilt landscape. The trails take you past ancient olive groves, along coastal tracks, and through the woods. As Paxos is only 10 kilometres long, you can get from coast to coast in a day.
Discover the Churches
Paxos has been collecting churches for more than 1,500 years. Today it includes 60 different buildings in all sorts of colours. Agia Marina and Agios Stefanos were both built in Ozias in the 6th century, which makes them the oldest churches on the island. Most of the others date back to Venetian times.
International Music Festival.
Loggos is the centre of this annual festival. The music leans towards the classical side of things, so you can expect to see string quartets and accomplished pianists playing pieces by Schubert and Mozart. New works are often commissioned especially for the festival.
